E.W. (NY): I ordered custom table pads for my new expensive dining room table. They were reasonably priced (around 225) but I found nothing for a table-valued at over 1000 dollars. I placed my order online on a Sunday after following careful and well-detailed instructions on the site. Imagine my surprise when half an hour later I got a call (on a SUNDAY!) confirming my order and reviewing all measurements to make sure I made no errors when submitting. I paid an extra 20 dollars for expedited shipping and was given a delivery date about 3 weeks after I ordered. My table pads came today, several days early and they are amazing. The quality is great, and they are a PERFECT fit. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to protect a nice table.

It is even nicer and more attractive than I had hoped that it would be—and I assure you that I had high hopes and expectations from reading all the positive things that your previous customers had to say about your work. The pad fits with remarkable precision and the vinyl pattern and color are so close to my actual table that I suspect that anyone visiting our house under everyday conditions would not even notice the pad. I am also impressed with how sturdy the pad seems to be. Your description makes it clear that the pad will be substantial, not flimsy. You describe it as being 5/8 an inch, and it is every bit of that. I just had not realized how substantial a pad of such thickness would be. It is impressive. The cloth bottom (is it felt?) is also of an obviously high quality in its look and feel. This material holds the pad in place with no evidence of sliding at all, which means that I can work with and on the pad without being concerned that it may slip around. I could go on with further words of praise and appreciation, but I'll stop telling you how great your handiwork is because it is evident that much thought and effort has gone into the creation of this pad.
My only regret is that I did not find you sooner and have you make a pad for my table before now. My table has suffered little from careful use over the years, but it is evident that with one of your pads it would not have even the tiny nicks that I have given it. I am truly delighted with this custom pad and now that I have it before me and have had a chance to handle it and to inspect it closely, I am more impressed than ever by the reasonable price of your product. The owner, Don Unger was not in but I was assured he would call me back. I honestly thought it would not happen as this was 2 days before Christmas. He did indeed call me and spent all the time I needed in answering my questions. I also said I could not make a selection on finishes for the top and bottom of the pads (based on photos) he promptly offered to send me samples of the selections I was considering. Again given how busy they were to get orders out before the New Year Party rush of customer orders, he took the time to priority mail me 6 samples.
Suffice to say when they're-opened the factory after the New Year I promptly placed my order. I just received them a week again and could not be happier with the table pads. They fit perfectly and the finishes are exactly what I wanted!. Lastly, I notified them as there was a slight bend in one of the items I sent a photo to Mr. Unger and he immediately responded this should not be this way it must have been damaged in transport. No questions asked, and he is sending a replacement pad which is on the way!!!
I wish all companies respected and cared about their customers and the way to satisfy a customer with delivering a first-class product at a fair price and in a professional manner!!! This is the ONLY company to use for ALL your custom table pad needs.
I received my table leaf covers and I am very happy with them…..I have a 54-inch wide mission oak dining table made in 1905 with 5 13 inch wide leaves. The vinyl leaf covers pads were perfect for the safekeeping of them.

(CA) Octob. 2019 Hi Don and the valued employees at Heartland Table Pads, During the Month of September 2109, my wife and I decided that we wanted to obtain a dining room table top conversion for our 8' Foot Pool Table at our home in Lake Elsinore, California. We were looking for something that would look/match the color of our pool table, and be of good quality to hold up to continued family use. We were a little confused about measuring the table for a custom fit, as well as matching the existing color of our table. I/we called into your toll-free number (on more than one occasion) and Don was always quick to answer, friendly, and most helpful in addressing every question we asked. His assistance through design, creation, shipment, and delivery was perfect and often overlooked by many businesses. The company assistance was equally matched by the receipt and quality of the final product, which arrived on the date/time that Don/Heartland had projected. Upon receipt, the dining top cover was well protected in the two shipping boxes, and we were able to assemble all pieces within approximately 15 minutes. The fitting, appearance, and satisfaction of the product received cannot be overstated. In retrospect, we think it might have been a good idea to have ordered the storage bags that can be provided for the table sections, and I anticipate that we will be reaching back to Don/Heartland for these accessories. A.B (KY): After moving into a nursing home a couple of years ago, I encouraged my 90-year-old mother to get back to her love of jigsaw puzzles. As her health improved, so did the size of the puzzles she worked, thus requiring a larger table. The 36" round table in her room was simply too small to accommodate a 1,000 piece puzzle, so I ordered the first table pad from you. It was several inches larger than her original table, thus giving more working space.
The table pad has held up beautifully in spite of daily use. When she's working on a puzzle and wants to switch to a different area, she simply rotates the table pad to reach the opposite side of the puzzle in seconds. And although the pad is larger than the actual table, it has never 'flipped' even when we accidentally pull it quite a bit off-center while 'puzzling'. It's just perfect and we're always getting comments on how attractive and functional it is.
I loved this table pad so much I ordered two for my own home in November – around one and an oval one. Again, they arrived on time and in great condition. Once the oval dining room pad was in place, I realize that while I had sent the correct measurements, there was a difference in 'capsule shapes' and so it didn't quite fit.
Because this was not an error on your part, I felt I was probably stuck with the problem, but contacted you to make you aware of the issue and sent pictures to better describe the difference in shape so it wouldn't happen to you again. To my surprise, you offered to remake the table pad only charging me postage!
The table pad arrived today and like the others I've gotten, is perfect. You are a man of your word, Don. You produce an excellent product and stand behind your work. Companies like yours are hard to come by these days and you are to be commended for your honesty and integrity.

I am sure you needed a well-deserved break after the rush to deliver table top extension pads in time for holiday meals! I could not be more pleased with my 72" round table top extension pad. This simple but elegant solution solved a long-standing problem at my house. As you can see in the first picture, we have a small 60" round dining table that seats 6 people. This size meets our "empty nester" needs 99% of the time, and we really would not want a larger table in our compact patio home. However, when the holidays arrive, it is a challenge to comfortably seat all our family members at the table. With your 72" round table top extension pad, we were able to seat 7 people spaciously, and could very easily have seated an 8th person, which actually will be needed next year, when a new grandchild joins our family. I love the substantial padding provided by the table top extender, eliminating the need for trivets or coasters. The leather-like vinyl cover is attractive and could be used without a tablecloth for a casual meal. And, maybe the best part, is how easy it is to fold up the two-piece table top extension pad for storage until needed again. Thank you for this excellent product and service, and for your prompt response in answering my questions. M.J. (WA) October 2016: My lovely table top extender was waiting for me when I arrived home from a recent trip. I freed it from its bubble-wrap blanket and set it up. It went together quite easily. I expected utilitarian, like thick round dowels for legs. The furniture-quality legs were a delightful surprise. So I am quite pleased.
I was particularly pleased to see the note about the lifetime warranty, even if damaged through my own negligence. Hopefully, that never occurs but if it should, I'm glad to know it can be repaired.

When I originally posted my order I slightly erred on one of my measurements. I sent a follow-up email that night and the next day on a weekend, already had a confirming reply. The order arrived promptly in high-quality packaging. They were an excellent set of pads, fitting perfectly and of superb construction and detail. However, due to a misunderstanding on my part, they were not exactly what I had wanted. I sent a note to Heartland, asking about the order but neither requesting nor expecting a remake. To my surprise, the next day, Don Unger replied with an explanation of why they had been made as they were and nevertheless offered to promptly remake the pads as I had wished, at no cost on my part. This was totally unexpected.
The new pads arrived, much sooner than I had expected and this time is exactly as desired. Should I ever need pads for another table or have friends who ask about them, I will be sure that Heartland is the company I choose or recommend. Thank you. Elliot

We typically seat 4 at our table and could squeeze in another 1 or 2 but only if we use narrower chairs. With table extender, we seated 8 people very nicely. Such a great solution to a challenge we often have when entertaining.

Everyone had plenty of elbow room this time and that was with extra people invited. We lingered at the table a long time and were very comfortable there. I never felt like it was going to tip over or anything like that. I really like the extra width and putting two people at the end of the table. The extra width meant extra room for all the bowls, glasses, and trivets, etc. There was none of that typical jamming of plates and looking for a place to put things down. For those of us who love personal space, this gave us some.
It was easy to setup, and I know I'll be hauling this out for book club night, game nights and every other party we have during the year (and we have a lot).
